Paiwan Every Day 634/635: djaljep // djaljepan

I like this word djaljepan 'so that's the way it is!'. It functions like a filler. Why is it from djaljep 'suitable, fit, assistant'? Interesting.

djaljepan a kisasusu aravac tjajuaken a nia sinsi, manu seljaseljang ni kama kisansinsi.

From Raleigh Ferrell's Paiwan Dictionary (1982), p. 71. This is mean but probably meant to be sarcastic or funny. Halirious!
